About Friday Hill
Now that Blazin Squad have disbanded 3 of its most popular members have got together to form a brand new hot band called FRIDAY HILL
Friday Hill is ex-Blazin members KENZIE, FLAVA & STRIDER. They will be performing their debut track BABY GOODBYE at some of our summer events, details below.
Question: Why are you called Friday Hill?
Friday Hill: Friday's the best day of the week, but that’s nothing to do with it. There’s a big hill near our area and from it you can see the whole of London. We were coming up with all these names like Phase 3 and they were painful. Friday Hill - there was just a ring to it. You can’t categorise it to a genre of music. If you go up to someone in the street and you say Friday Hill what kind of music do they make? (I’ve tried this myself when I’m bored.) Some say hip-hop, some say rock, or pop, or indie. If we’d have come in now and called ourselves the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, everyone would have been like, what? If we’d have named ourselves after a fruit drink like Oasis, everyone would’ve been like, what? But Oasis sell millions of records. It’s all about the music at the end of the day.
Kenzie, Flava & Strider have decided to try it as a trio called Friday Hill after being part of 10 piece Blazin Squad' who have had a Number 1 hit with Crossroads, also had 5 top 10 hits apart from this. 3 years after forming Blazin Squad, James aka Flava, Mus aka Strider and Kenzie decided to go there own way as a trio called Friday Hill.

There was once a
band called Blazin' Squad who were all 16 when they first started and topped the
charts with there hit 'Crossroads', from there they became successful with
2 major tours, 5 top 10 singles and 2 albums
and to top it off a lot of girl attention.
Blazin Squad didn't really gain a lot of respect after the second year as they
lost quite a few fans but there strong music always bought them back but then
for some reason they would let go again.
For This Past year for Blazin Squad has been really quiet which was a hint that they may be splitting but to know that Mus, James and Kenzie have made up a new band is great because it gives them another chance to prove themselves and experiment with different types of music, Baby Goodbye reminds me of east-17 and gives a strong beat and the vocals are amazing as you get to hear the boys sing.
What was the best about Blazin' squad was they wrote and made there own music which you could relate too. What made Blazin' squad stand out was there image which people portrayed them as being young teenagers who say yo yo yo all the time which wasn't Blazin' squad at all.
But now at 19 Blazin' squad have moved on and theres a new band
about, 3 of the Blazers, Mus, Kenzie and James from the
Blazin' squad have come up with there own band called "Friday Hill"
and are releasing a single called Baby Goodbye,
this is another chance for the boys to work on different material and to get back
into what they love doing best, Making music.
